In 2011, Ashley was selected to voice Jessica Finch in the family comedy Judy Moody and the Not Bummer Summer and received recognition in 2012 after being she was cast as a voice actor for bears and rats in the famous animated adventure comedy Ernest & Celestine that starred Forest Whitaker Lambert Wilson and Pauline Brunner and follows the friendship between Ernest the bear and Celestine the mouse. The movie won 14 awards out of the 29 nominations it received, including an Oscar.
